ZARB — Privacy Policy

ZARB is a cashback and loyalty marketplace available to both buyers and sellers in a single app. The data we collect depends on your account type. This page covers both roles:

Part 1 — Privacy Policy for Buyers (Shoppers)

This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the ZARB app as a buyer.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your phone number and the verification code (OTP) sent via SMS.
• Profile data: full name, profession, region, and optionally a profile photo.
• Usage data: purchase history, cashback balance, saved (favorite) products, and in-app search queries (search history is stored on your device).
• QR identifier: your personal ID is shown to the seller as a QR code (to link the purchase and cashback).
• Technical data: device token for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), authentication tokens, and app settings.

2. How we use the data

To create your account and sign you in; to calculate and display purchases and cashback; to provide the product catalog; to send notifications; and to improve the service and provide support.

3. Device permissions

• Camera: to take a profile photo.
• Photos / Gallery: to choose a profile photo.
• Notifications: to inform you about orders and promotions.

You can revoke permissions in your device settings at any time.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We share it only as necessary with:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC) — to deliver push notifications;
• SMS provider — to send the verification code;
• ZARB server and order-management system — to process orders and cashback.

5. Storage and security

Authentication tokens are kept in the device's secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). Data is transmitted over a secure channel (HTTPS).

6. Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your rights

View and edit your profile; delete your account in-app (Profile → Delete account); or request deletion via the contact email.

8. Children

The app is not intended for individuals under 18.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated; we will announce material changes in the app or on the official website.

Part 2 — Privacy Policy for Sellers (Partners)

This policy explains what data we collect when you use the ZARB app as a seller (partner) and how you process customers' data.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your phone number and the verification code (OTP) sent via SMS.
• Profile data: full name, profession or position, region, and optionally a profile photo.
• Business data: orders you create, sales and returns statistics, and items in the cart (order package).
• Customer data: during a sale you scan the customer's QR code with the camera and view the related order information.
• Technical data: push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), authentication tokens, and app settings.

2. How we use the data

To manage your seller account; to create orders; to display sales statistics; to link a customer's purchase and cashback to the system; and to send notifications.

3. Device permissions

• Camera: to scan the customer's QR code and to take a profile photo.
• Photos / Gallery: to choose a profile photo.
• Notifications: to inform you about order status.

You can revoke permissions in your device settings at any time.

4. Your responsibility for customer data

As a seller, you must use customer data (QR ID, order) only to complete a purchase through ZARB, keep it confidential, and not disclose it to third parties.
